Workshop: Advocacy In Action: Protecting the Human Rights of Children with Special Needs in the School System

You will learn:

-Your rights

-Your child’s rights

-Legal advocacy do’s and don’ts for parents of children with special needs

You know your child best. But how well do you know the school system? Or the legal system defining your child’s educational rights? This workshop will help give you a clearer understanding of your child’s right to access education along with information about how you can enforce those rights when things go sideways, as they often do.

    1. First and most important, this conference is available online as well as in person! So you can see her presentation even if you can’t make it to the mainland. Secondly, we are looking at a spring conference in a different location, although I can’t say yet who the presenters will be. Hope you can virtually attend in October!
