Tired of being told to wait and see?
Families are often told to wait and see, even while their child is being sent home early, placed on a partial schedule, left out, subjected to room clears, or denied the accommodations they need to participate in school.
This workshop is for families and caregivers preparing for the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process who want clearer language, better questions, and practical ways to keep their child’s access, dignity, strengths, and belonging at the center.

Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is for families and caregivers preparing for the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process in BC schools. It may be especially helpful if your child is being sent home early, placed on a partial schedule, left out, subjected to room clears, or denied accommodations they need to participate.
What will we learn?
You will learn practical ways to name barriers, ask better questions, connect accommodations to real access, and keep your child’s dignity, strengths, and belonging at the centre of the IEP process.
Is this legal advice?
No. This is an educational workshop to help families understand and prepare for the IEP process. It will offer practical language, examples, and questions you can bring into meetings, but it is not legal advice.
Is this workshop accessible?
ASL sign language interpretation will be provided. The workshop will also be recorded, and the recording will be shared with registrants for one month after the session in case they are unable to attend live.
