AdvoCon 2024 Volunteer information

BCEdAccess is led by a board of volunteers. As an organization preparing for a conference, there are additional duties that are required to ensure AdvoCon 2024 runs smoothly, and you can do them all from the comfort of your home. As a thank you, you will receive a free ticket to the conference. The following volunteer opportunities are needed, in order of priority and skillset:

3 Active Listeners (Day of Conference): In this role you will be watching the chat box for questions and reading them out after the workshop presenter is finished to help facilitate and engage the Q & A portion.

Social media (needed ASAP): As the social media guru, we need you to take the reins to ensure we are advertising in the online environment throughout the province leading up to AdvoCon 2024 as well as during the conference. It’s a big bonus for us if you have some graphic design skills as well! (approximately 1 hour per week)

Marketing to schools (needed ASAP): We know there are families out there that are struggling but don’t know about our supports available as an organization or our conference. We want you to contact DPACs throughout the Province and make sure they are letting their school communities know about our organization and the conference. (approximately 15 hours total)

Marketing in education (needed ASAP): This role reaches out to teacher and educator associations throughout the province and invites them to attend, and answer questions on education credits. (approximately 5 hours total)
