Social Groups

This event series is for elementary to secondary students with disabilities or extra support needs and their parents who are feeling disconnected during COVID-19. An opportunity provided by BCEdAccess Society to get together and have fun, through free online social groups.

Thanks to support from the Canadian Red Cross and the Government of Canada, these social groups will foster connection and positive mental wellness for students throughout the province.

BCEdAccess has engaged experienced facilitators with a criminal record check to create a safe, fun and engaging space for participants over Zoom. Our sessions include community discussions, art projects, trivia, dance and movement, and general inclusive parties! Our hope is to provide something for everyone. Events use captioning through REV, a provided program through Zoom. We’ve arranged for ASL interpretation in select sessions. If you require ASL or other language interpretation, please feel free to reach out to us.
